Connecting Your Stripe Account
Step 1: Go to Payment Settings
Log in to your Zinn Hub account and go to your Zinner Dashboard. Click Payment Settings under the Wizards heading.
Step 2: Click Connect with Stripe
Find the Stripe section and click the Connect with Stripe button. You will be redirected to Stripe's website to complete their onboarding process.
Step 3: Complete Stripe Onboarding
Stripe will walk you through their setup process. You will need to provide your personal or business information, verify your identity with a valid government-issued ID, enter your business details and tax information (depending on your region), and add the bank account where you want to receive your earnings.
Follow each step carefully and make sure all information is accurate. Stripe performs KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification as part of this process, which also helps verify your identity on the Zinn Hub platform and builds trust with buyers.
Step 4: Return to Zinn Hub
Once you have completed Stripe's onboarding, you will be redirected back to Zinn Hub. Your Stripe account will now show as connected in Payment Settings. Card payments will be enabled on all your Zinn listings.
What Happens Once Connected
Once your Stripe is connected, buyers will see credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) as a payment option at checkout on all your Zinns. Payments go instantly and directly into your Stripe account at the point of sale minus platform commission. Stripe then transfers funds to your connected bank account according to your Stripe payout schedule (typically 2-3 business days depending on your country, though this is managed entirely by Stripe and is separate from Zinn Hub).
There is no waiting period on the Zinn Hub side, no funds held by Zinn Hub, and no need to request a withdrawal. As soon as the buyer completes checkout, the payment is in your Stripe account.
Do I Have to Connect Stripe?
No. Connecting your own Stripe account is optional. If you do not connect Stripe, your Zinns still accept card payments — they are processed through Zinn Hub's platform payment accounts so buyers always see the same payment options at checkout regardless. The difference is how you get paid. With your own Stripe connected, you receive instant payments directly to your account at the point of sale. Without it, your earnings are paid out automatically every Friday to your chosen payout method (PayPal, cryptocurrency USDT/USDC, UK bank transfer, SEPA, US bank wire, or Payoneer). Connecting your own Stripe is still strongly recommended as it enables instant payments and provides identity verification through KYC.
Stripe Requirements
To connect Stripe you will need:
- A valid government-issued ID for identity verification
- A bank account in a Stripe-supported country
- Your personal or business information
- Tax details depending on your region
If you do not already have a Stripe account, one will be created for you during the onboarding process. You do not need to sign up with Stripe separately beforehand.
If Stripe Onboarding Was Interrupted
If you were disconnected or closed the browser partway through Stripe's onboarding:
- Go to your Zinner Dashboard
- Click Payment Settings under the Wizards heading
- Click Connect with Stripe again
- Stripe will resume where you left off or restart the process
You can attempt the connection as many times as needed until it is complete.
Checking Your Stripe Connection Status
To check whether your Stripe account is connected and active:
- Go to your Zinner Dashboard
- Click Payment Settings under the Wizards heading
- The Stripe section will show your connection status
If your Stripe account is connected, you will see confirmation that card payments are enabled. If there is an issue with your Stripe account (such as additional verification needed or a restriction), Stripe will notify you directly via email.
Disconnecting or Changing Your Stripe Account
If you need to disconnect your Stripe account or connect a different one, contact our support team through the Help Centre at help.zinnhub.com. For security reasons, Stripe account changes may require verification. Normally you can just click the disconnect button in the Payment wizard.
Important Notes
- Stripe is available in 40+ countries — check stripe.com/global for availability in your country
- If Stripe is not available in your country, you can still connect PayPal for instant payments or use platform payments with weekly Friday payouts
- Until you complete the Stripe connection, card payments through your own account will not be active — however buyers can still purchase your Zinns as payments are processed through Zinn Hub's platform accounts instead, with your earnings paid out weekly every Friday
- If you also connect PayPal, buyers will see both card and PayPal options at checkout and you receive instant payments regardless of how they pay
- Stripe charges its own processing fees which are deducted by Stripe directly — these are separate from Zinn Hub's platform commission
- If your Stripe account falls out of good standing (suspended, restricted, or closed by Stripe), your selling privileges on Zinn Hub may be affected
