What Is Vacation Mode?


Vacation Mode temporarily disables your store so you can't receive new orders. Useful for:


  • Taking time off

  • Handling a backlog of orders

  • Personal emergencies

  • Temporary unavailability


How It Works
When enabled:


  • ❌ Buyers cannot place new orders

  • ❌ Your Zinns show as unavailable

  • ✅ Existing orders continue (you must still complete them)

  • ✅ Your store and listings remain visible

  • ✅ Buyers can still contact you


Enabling Vacation Mode

  1. Go to your Zinner Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Find Vacation Mode or Store Status

  4. Toggle it ON

  5. Optionally, add a vacation message

  6. Save changes


Vacation Message
Let buyers know when you'll be back:

Example:


"Thanks for visiting! I'm currently taking a short break and will be back on [date]. Feel free to add me to your wishlist and check back soon!"


Disabling Vacation Mode
Ready to return?


  1. Go to your Dashboard Settings

  2. Find Vacation Mode

  3. Toggle it OFF

  4. Save changes


Your store immediately becomes active again.

Best Practices
Before Enabling

  • Complete or communicate about pending orders

  • Set expectations with current buyers

  • Plan your return date


While On Vacation

  • Check messages occasionally if possible

  • Don't leave orders hanging

  • Respond to urgent inquiries


Vacation Message Tips

  • Be professional

  • Give a return date (even approximate)

  • Thank buyers for their interest

  • Don't over-explain personal details


Alternatives to Vacation Mode
Extend Delivery Times
If you need less work but not zero, increase delivery times on your Zinns.

Limit Active Listings
Set some products to Draft while keeping others active.

Add "Currently Busy" to Descriptions
Note in your Zinn descriptions that delivery may take longer than usual.

Important Notes

  • Vacation mode doesn't affect existing orders — you must still deliver those

  • Extended vacation may affect your store's visibility/ranking

  • Check platform policies for maximum vacation duration
